Reinhard Heydrich Hat

These images of the hat show the before and after application of the White piping and braid. Acrylics were applied to the areas that would eventually be painted White. The bottom image shows the rather sloppy application while the top image shows the finished piece. Black oils were used to clean up the edges. I find this method much easier than trying to stay within the lines so to speak when painting detail like this. Especially if the base color is Black. Black will cover anything.
