Hancock

This is my version of General Winfield Scott Hancock. It was sculpted by Matt Springer and will be auctioned at the APG show in Gettysburg this August. Painted entirely in oils this bust depicts Hancock at Gettysburg. I have to say due to Matt's superb sculpting this bust was a real joy to paint.

Frederick The Great, 1760

This is a 54mm metal casting by Andrea. This was a commision piece I completed a few weeks ago. The advantage for me doing commision work is that I am able to paint things I would not normally paint. I enjoyed painting this figure but never would have looked at it otherwise.
Painted in oils over a base of acrylics. Painting was pretty straight-forward. Blue was a mix of Winsor & Newton Blue/Black and Winsor Blue. Reds were a base of Bright Red and Cadmium Red. Kit went together well without the need for any any major cleanup.
